During my stay, I loved the fact that there were a few steps to both the Weston Gallery and Devendorf Park, making it so easy to enjoy art and nature right around the corner. plus, the area offers a fantastic selection of restaurants, like Yafa just a short walk away, perfect for grabbing a bite after a day of exploring.

Comfortable king bed with plush pillows made for a pleasant night. The room was clean and had modern amenities, including a fridge and microwave. Unfortunately, the walls were quite thin, leading to noise disturbances, and there were some minor stains on the bedding. Wi-Fi issues at check-in were resolved quickly, but the shower had a worn floor that detracted from the overall experience.

Carmel-by-the-Sea is a foodie paradise! Just a hop away from Clarion, I discovered culinary gems like Forge in the Forest and the cozy vibes at La Balena, where the seasonal fare shines. Plus, the front desk staff were super friendly, making check-in a breeze! The location's a walking wonderland, perfect for exploring art galleries and shops.

While the charm is undeniable, the in-room breakfast situation could use some love—retrieving a bare-bones basket from the office felt off. And oh, the room had a bit of a cigarette smell lingering. not exactly the fresh air you hope for. Despite these hiccups, it still had its moments.

My stay at the Clarion in Carmel-by-the-Sea was good. The cozy queen suite offered comfort, and the charming picnic basket breakfast was a lovely touch. Despite a slight smoky odor in the room, the friendly staff and prime location made my visit nice.

The location of Clarion is its standout feature, close to adorable shops and great restaurants. I appreciated the clean room, though the decor felt dated. The absence of air conditioning in a $300+ room was surprising. it made for a sweaty night waking up multiple times. Parking was fine, but tight, and I struggled to find a good space. The complimentary breakfast didn’t impress. it consisted of minimal cereal, an apple, and a small pastry. I encountered ants in the room, which was unsettling, despite the staff's casual explanation about spilled milk. The staff seemed indifferent at times. I expected more engagement, especially around service issues. Overall, the stay had its ups and downs, but I wouldn’t highly recommend it, especially for the price.

Exceptional stay with wonderful service.

The room was nicely furnished with a king bed that provided excellent comfort for resting after a long day. It included a refrigerator and microwave, which were helpful for storing snacks and beverages. Breakfast was conveniently delivered to the door, featuring a good selection of items like cereal, rolls, and fruit. Additionally, the shower had ample hot water and a good water pressure.

the clarion has a cozy vibe and is really close to the beach and downtown shops. the staff was super friendly and helpful, which made our stay even better. we were excited to find a nice selection for continental breakfast right at our door! also, it was nice to have a clean room waiting for us after a couple of hours out.

The location is fantastic for exploring Carmel, with the beautiful beach just a short walk away. Our family had a wonderful time whale watching at Old Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey. The room was clean and equipped with a microwave and fridge, which made it convenient for our little ones.

My kids wished there were more activities for them at the hotel.
